Ania received her B.S. in Biology from American University in Washington D.C. and her Masters in Genetic Counseling degree from University of Maryland School of Medicine. Prior to becoming a genetic counselor, she worked as a laboratory technologist both in cytogenetics and molecular genetics, thus giving her first-hand experience with the testing she discusses with her patients. Ania became a diplomate of the American Board of Genetic Counseling in 2007. She has been in practice as a prenatal genetic counselor for 10 years and joined Greater Washington Maternal Fetal Medicine & Genetics in January 2016. Prior to this time Ania worked as a prenatal genetic counselor in Ridgewood, New Jersey and Annapolis, Maryland. Ania lives in the DC area with her husband and three children. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and black lab as well as running. She also volunteers at a local Polish school and is fluent in Polish.
