Thomas L. Pinckert, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., F.A.C.M.G. graduated from Arizona State University summa cum laude and earned his medical degree from the University Oregon Health sciences Center. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in California. He has completed fellowships in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Medical Genetics at the University of California, San Francisco, gaining expertise in high-risk pregnancies, fetal surgery, and genetic conditions.
Dr. Pinckert is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and Medical Genetics. He is one of the few physicians in the United States who have achieved this level of specialization and triple board certification. In addition, he is a member of the prestigious International Fetal-Medicine and Surgery Society, the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine.
Before founding Greater Washington Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Genetics, Dr. Pinckert was Director of Clinical Genetics and co-director of the Fetal Therapy Program at Georgetown University Hospital. Following his time at Georgetown University, he served as Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Adventist HealthCare in Rockville. Currently he is Director of the Prenatal Diagnostic Center at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Md. and is a Clinical Professor in OB-GYN at George Washington University, School of Medicine.
