Michelle Ly, PA-C, RDMS, RDCS, brings a unique combination of advanced medical training and specialized experience in maternal-fetal medicine to her role as a physician assistant. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and Bachelor of Technical and Professional Studies in Allied Health from Towson University in Towson, Maryland. She also holds an Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Montgomery College in Takoma Park, Maryland. Michelle is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) and the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

Before becoming a physician assistant, Michelle spent six years working as a maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) sonographer, caring for women experiencing high-risk pregnancies. During this time, she gained extensive experience supporting patients with a wide range of complex pregnancy-related conditions, including gestational diabetes, hypertension, cervical insufficiency, and fetal congenital abnormalities. Her experience provides a valuable perspective on the complexities of pregnancy and the importance of individualized, compassionate care.

Originally from Nicaragua, Michelle grew up speaking both English and Spanish and values connecting with patients from diverse backgrounds and helping them feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their healthcare journey. She is committed to providing thoughtful, patient-centered care and building trusting relationships with every patient she serves.

Outside of work, Michelle resides in Frederick County with her husband, Jimmy, their two children, and their two Shih Tzus. She enjoys playing and coaching volleyball, traveling, and gathering with family and friends for board games.

Michelle looks forward to combining her clinical expertise, maternal-fetal medicine experience, and passion for patient care to support women and families throughout their healthcare journey.
